Hello, I’m Verity Rivers

A Gloucestershire based photographer specialising in emotive narrative.

My photographs dance between the shadows and light, celebrating the innate beauty and strength that defines the essence of each individual. Taking photographs that tell a story, narrating the captivating tales of femininity, and masculinity. Photographs that resonate with authenticity and empowerment. 

My work feeds my soul, how and why I work is so much more than a job, it's something I love to do, it's part of who I am, and I imagine doing it forever. I have over 15 years experience in both the fashion and portraiture industries. I am a self taught photographer and I started my career in a high end studio obsessively chasing perfection, I wanted to be the very best very early on, and that motivation still drives me forward each and every day. 

I left studio life and became self-employed 10 years ago. I wanted to guide myself towards how I felt photography should be, I couldn’t follow any more rules or restrictions. I began searching for what I truly love, and that is capturing a persons essence within the raw beauty of mother nature, and embracing the innate harmony between the two. Illuminating the extraordinary within the ordinary, I delve into the profound magic that defines each individuals unique spirit. 

I'm driven by the process of photographing each individual, or brand, in their best light. Photographing shapes and form, and connecting to the people and concepts I am working with. Producing images that tell your story, which you are proud to share with the world.
